Powder rooms are like jewel boxes. We love to have fun with them! Push your wild side! This is the place to have fun. As they are often off the entrance of your home, powder rooms can give a great WOW factor for guests. They are the perfect place to take risk as they are a small space. If you get tired of it or it feels like too much, it is a quick and usually inexpensive place to make a change.
In this beautiful jewel box, we used Hermes wallpaper that had such a fun animal pattern and fabulous colors. We took a blue grass cloth chest and cut the top off to turn it into a vanity with this beautiful remnant marble top. The mirror provides a focal point in all the pizzazz. The client really embraced her wild side and got this playful yet sophisticated result.
This is another colorful happy powder room that still is elegant. We love the playfulness of this wallpaper and the great blue/acrylic sconces! They did not come with shades, so we added beautiful linen ones with the top and bottom tape. The challenge with this room was the size of the vanity and finding a mirror that fit.
Powder rooms are a great place to showcase your personality and wild side. Don’t be afraid to get a little creative and bold!
We had never seen a powder like this. Two narrow windows over the vanity where you would normally put a mirror. We found these fabulous hanging pendants and put the mirror on the opposite wall. Shutters allow light to come in, while still maintaining privacy. We were so excited the client selected this beautiful light blue lacquer vanity from OOMPH with fun tassels. The wallpaper is a pretty blue and green irregular striped grass cloth from Thibaut that added a nice texture to the shine of the lacquer.
One of our all-time favorite Clarence House classic wallpapers. It never gets old and now comes in so many fun color ways. I have to admit, I have this in my powder room. It looks fresh with the polished nickel fixtures and beveled mirror. Just a happy place to be!
This little jewel came with the bedazzled wallpaper on one wall that sparkled. The client loved it, so we found a beautiful complimentary Thibaut wallpaper to match, instead of the flat paint that was there. The vanity was a pretty wood finish with brass hardware and the warm tones worked nicely with the tone of the jewels!
This was a large two room powder that we wanted to highlight the beautiful woodworking. The wallpaper is a class Schumacher Damask with an updated feel. We used a beautiful Modern Hstory chest and had it made into the vanity. The black with brass detail really dressed up the space. We used the clients own antique chest in the outside room with a set of four beautiful framed intaglios above. This defines timeless and elegance.
What a transformation! We used a beautiful chest and squeezed it in to the small space. We had to use a bar sink and the sconces fit perfectly. This is another classic Clarence house paper called Vases and it comes in many beautiful colors and even in grass cloth.
The Vases in Navy with a new mirrored vanity. One of our favorite mirrors for tall ceilings.
Unfortunately, the glam light fixture over powers this picture a bit, but this is one of our favotite Quadrille wallpapers. It is grass cloth and the prettiest fresh green. The mirror is marble and makes the room. The sconce is one of our favorites for over mirrors from Hudson Valley.
This bathroom was a complete gut. The new vanity was a beautiful wood with interesting brass hardware. The remnant really makes this room, as it is absolutely stunning. The wallpaper is Thibaut and is just playful and happy in beautiful colors.
Another great Thibaut wallpaper to liven up this bathroom. We got a beautiful vanity and fixtures and were able to work with the existing floor. Great combination of blues, beiges and aqua that flows through the rest of the house.
Fun with flowers! This little jewel uses one of Schumacher’s classic prints. Wonderful colors that make it a happy sanctuary. We used polished nickel and a pretty mirrored vanity to complement.
